Working together in groups for social change can be fun and exciting, but it isn’t always easy. To move beyond oppressive hierarchies to more equitable forms of self-governance, we need practices and processes that can help us collaborate effectively.
This workshop will feature presentations about effective collaboration and how Spiral Dynamics can help changemakers reach beyond the choir. In small groups, participants will also create an “elevator pitch” for an initiative they would like to see happen in Sarasota and receive feedback from representatives of each of the six major worldviews described by Spiral Dynamics.
All workshop participants will be eligible to receive part or all of a $1,000 grant to jump-start their own regenerative project. Community Harvest SRQ will supply a locally-sourced salad bar for the evening.
There will be another workshop earlier in the day on “Inner Transition and the Evolutionary Journey” at the Fogartyville Community Media & Arts Center. Tickets for one workshop are $20 each, or you can purchase a combo ticket for $30.
